In 2019, RPS shifted from a start-up to an SME. Following work with clients including HS2 and Ferrovial, we have grown our breadth of services to the point where we are now delivering for multiple organisations at the same time. This is a critical test for any SME and a testament to the capability of our ten-strong team. During this time, we won Federation of Small Businesses and Railway Industry Association awards for our work with clients, growth and re-investment back into the rail industry skills gap. Route Programme Manager at Network Rail

Ed’s experience of growing multidisciplinary programme railway teams as Morgan Sindall Rail’s Head of PMO enables him to bring this expertise to Network Rail to help deliver overhead line electrification programme improvements to the East Coast route for the increased benefit of passengers and freight operators. Ed is working with senior leadership within Network Rail to determine the optimum accelerated route for improving reliability of electrified assets.

Following the successful delivery of value-engineering efficiencies at HS2, Jake has been bought into Network Rail, East Midlands to add programme management support across their resilience initiatives. Jake is a key part of the team implementing a number of continuous improvements ranging from training depots to climate change preparation making sure passengers and freight operators have access to the most reliable railway possible.

Senior Project Manager at West Midlands Trains (WMT)

Richard is leading the delivery of Third Party Schemes across the network for this Train Operating Company within the West Midlands and along the route to London. Richard brings his delivery expertise and stakeholder management strengths to the fore helping WMT to deliver on DfT Committed Obligations that will improve infrastructure and the travel experience for UK passengers. This work is particularly important in the run-up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games for which Birmingham will be hosting multi-sport events for over a million attendees.
Richard’s portfolio includes the new Birmingham University Station, Perry Barr Station, Coventry Station and Watford Station.

Bid Manager at VVB

Joe currently leads the management of bids for VVB. Joe is passionate about helping organisations win work to deliver growth targets. For 2020, RPS has grown its precontract offering to include Estimating (Joe Brain), Graphics (Douglas Sheppard), Technical Development (Michael Bradley) and Bid Writing (Lizzie Palmer). The development and growth of the precontracting team has been in response to ongoing demand since 2018 to offer short-term support to clients on their business critical bids.
